Football Game Preview: Electra Tigers vs. Windthorst Trojans + How To Watch

Electra is 1-6 against Windthorst since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Electra comes in on three and Windthorst on five.

Electra took a 63-point loss the last time they faced off against Archer City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 22-20.

Meanwhile, Windthorst blew past Haskell, posting a 52-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four contests by 38 points or more so far this season.

Electra better keep an eye on Brock Belcher. He was instrumental in Windthorst's win, rushing for 129 yards and three scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 116 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Belcher a new career-high. Windthorst also got a significant boost from Adam Barton, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 139 yards.

Windthorst was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Windthorst didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Daxton Anderson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Belcher is also on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Electra's record now sits at 5-3. As for Windthorst, their record is now 6-2.

Things could have been worse for Electra, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-6 loss to Windthorst in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
