Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forney). Their defense stepped up to hand the Longview Lobos a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Give the Jackrabbits' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Longview from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Addison E. Smith led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Forney's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine contests. As for Longview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Forney and Longview will both be playing North Forney the next time they take the pitch. Longview will host North Forney at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Forney will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
