Football Recap: Geneva Classical Academy Falls Short of Bradenton Christian in the Playoffs

Geneva Classical Academy and Bradenton Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Geneva Classical Academy had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Panthers, falling 42-12. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Geneva Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Bennett Bayhan, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Bayhan's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 108 receiving yards.

Holland Hume continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bradenton Christian, throwing for 244 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Connor Henderson was Hume's top target, picking up 67 receiving yards, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground.

Geneva Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bradenton Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Geneva Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bradenton Christian, they will take on Donahue Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 8, the Shamrocks 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
