Basketball Game Preview: Fowler Eagles vs. Holt Rams

The Fowler Eagles will challenge the Holt Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Holt will be up against a hot Fowler squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Fowler simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Saranac 65-14. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Redhawks are ranked 491st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holt). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging an 85-8 victory over Everett. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Holt is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points over those games. Fowler's victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
