Soccer Recap: East Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

The East Grand Rapids Pioneers lost 5-1 to the Gull Lake Blue Devils on Friday. While losing is never fun, East Grand Rapids can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Gull Lake are ranked sixth).

This is the second loss in a row for East Grand Rapids and nudges their season record down to 3-4-3. As for Gull Lake, they pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

East Grand Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 defeat against Forest Hills Northern on the 5th. Gull Lake has also already played their next contest (against Lakeview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
