Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alana Van Wychen and Leah Vanden Hogen Lead Little Chute to Victory

Little Chute had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy.

Leading Little Chute to victory were Leah Vanden Hogen and Alana Van Wychen. Vanden Hogen had 11 assists and two aces, while Van Wychen had three digs and two aces. That's the most assists Vanden Hogen has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Little Chute was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

Little Chute's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Little Chute's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kiel at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, they will challenge Winnebago Lutheran Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
