Basketball Game Preview: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Taylor County Cardinals

Campbellsville is 1-9 against Taylor County since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Campbellsville Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Taylor County Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

Campbellsville lost 61-36 to Metcalfe County on Saturday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Taylor County strolled past Marion County with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 59-43. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Taylor County's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Campbellsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Campbellsville beat Taylor County 46-38 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbellsville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
