Football Recap: Bonneville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Bonneville was feeling good fresh off their 47-13 takedown of Idaho Falls last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bees received a blow on Friday as they fell 40-22 to the Blackfoot Broncos. The Bees were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Bonneville lost, don't look at Aden Mora. Despite the final result, he rushed for 163 yards and three TDs. Mora's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 104 rushing yards. Bonneville also got help from Kaine Rodriguez, who showed off his sure hands for 106 receiving yards.

Blackfoot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Briggs Esplin, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 73 receiving yards and one score. Esplin showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 68 yards. Cade Esplin was another key player, rushing for 119 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries.

Bonneville dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Blackfoot, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Bonneville will challenge Thunder Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bees will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Blackfoot, they will square off against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
