Steele Canyon had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Grossmont Foothillers. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Foothillers back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Leading Steele Canyon to victory were Emily Lucatero and Izzy Trotto. Lucatero had six digs and five aces, while Trotto had six kills, six aces, and one block. Those six aces gave Trotto a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Steele Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Grossmont still got an impressive performance from Ciarrah Doliente, who had 19 digs and one assist.

Steele Canyon's record is now 13-11. As for Grossmont, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 19-10 record.
