Baseball Recap: West Union Dragons vs. South Gallia Rebels

West Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the South Gallia Rebels.

Thomas Barnhart put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. Barnhart was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Jentezen Dryden made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

West Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for South Gallia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Union will challenge Felicity-Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Gallia, they will take on Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
