Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wellington). They blew past the Shamrock Irish, posting a 67-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Skyrockets in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Shamrock lost on Thursday, don't look at Josh Whittington. Despite the final result, he picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.

Wellington's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Shamrock, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6.
