Football Recap: Waynoka Falls to Covington-Douglas in First Game of Season

Waynoka had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Covington-Douglas Wildcats and fell 48-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railroaders of the 40-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynoka will square off against Okeene at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington-Douglas, they will challenge Medford at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
