Volleyball Game Preview: Mark Keppel Aztecs vs. San Gabriel Matadors

The Mark Keppel Aztecs will face off against the San Gabriel Matadors at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mark Keppel will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Mark Keppel got the win against Schurr by a conclusive 3-0.

Meanwhile, San Gabriel didn't have quite enough to beat Bell Gardens on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

San Gabriel took Bell Gardens into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 15-12.

San Gabriel's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Mark Keppel, they pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Mark Keppel beat San Gabriel 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Aztecs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Matadors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
