Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro lost against Greenville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hillsboro Hiltoppers fell to the Greenville Comets 60-56. The Hiltoppers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Nathan Matoush, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. Matoush's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony White, who went 7 for 11 en route to 15 points.

Hillsboro now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Greenville, they moved to 13-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Hillsboro will take on Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hillsboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for Greenville, they will take on Nokomis in a tournament on Thursday.
