Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology received a tough blow as they fell 56-39 to Hayfield. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology has struggled against Hayfield recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Hayfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Pottenburgh out in front who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Andy Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Hayfield, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology will square off against Justice at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hayfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Falls Church at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Falls Church will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Hayfield is ranked 79th).
