Basketball Recap: Carrick Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westinghouse last Friday, Carrick came back down to earth. The Carrick Raiders lost to the Taylor Allderdice Dragons on the road by a 73-54 margin on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-48 back in January.

Taylor Allderdice got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Schachter out in front who went 6 for 13 en route to 18 points and five assists. Those 18 points gave Schachter a new career-high. Markus Kuhn was another key player, putting up 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Carrick's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Taylor Allderdice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Carrick nor Taylor Allderdice have any future games scheduled.
