Basketball Recap: Don Soffer Aventura Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Scheck Hillel Community School on Tuesday, Don Soffer Aventura came back down to earth. The Barracuda were beaten by the Florida Christian Patriots 76-42 on Thursday. The Barracuda lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-52 score last time.

Kalem Boitel and Fabrizio Inzillo certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Boitel posted 11 points, while Inzillo earned five points and seven rebounds.

Florida Christian found their leader in sophomore Jermaine Agyeman, who went 7-for-10 en route to 18 points and six boards. Jason Padron was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Don Soffer Aventura's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Don Soffer Aventura will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monsignor Pace at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Florida Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 72-40 win against Coral Reef on the 21st.
