Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somerset). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Casey County Rebels a 13-0 shutout on Monday. The Briar Jumpers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Isaiah Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryson Stevens, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Kole Grundy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Somerset always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Somerset's record is now 6-9. As for Casey County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
