Basketball Recap: Rock Port Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

It's playoff time, and Rock Port had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over the North Andrew Cardinals on Tuesday. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.

Rock Port found their leader in freshman Audrie Meyerkorth, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 30 points along with six boards and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Meyerkorth has scored at least a third of Rock Port's points. Another player making a difference was Avery Meyerkorth, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Rock Port has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. North Andrew is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.

Coming up, Rock Port will challenge Santa Fe at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Rock Port has won 12 straight at home dating back to last season, while Santa Fe won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. North Andrew does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
