Recap: Franklin County Seahawks vs. Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks
The Franklin County Seahawks waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They escaped with a win against Port St. Joe by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Franklin County also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Ethan Kembro was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jamichael Miller was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Franklin County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Port St. Joe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will take on Chipley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port St. Joe, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Wewahitchka at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Wewahitchka is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
