Basketball Recap: Dan River Comes Up Short

Dan River and Floyd County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Dan River had to settle for second. They fell 58-48 to the Floyd County Buffaloes. The Wildcats were down 49-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Dan River still got an impressive performance from Jameer Reynolds, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards. Reynolds is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jamarion Davis, who posted nine points and five boards.

Dan River's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Floyd County, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
