Softball Game Preview: Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers vs. Lima Senior Spartans

The Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers will head out to challenge the Lima Senior Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Waynesfield-Goshen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Waynesfield-Goshen didn't have quite enough to beat Riverdale and fell 8-7.

Rayne Oakes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Liberty Glaser also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lima Senior). They blew past Kalida 18-3 on Monday.

Waynesfield-Goshen suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Lima Senior, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
