Basketball Recap: Zion Chapel Takes a Loss

Zion Chapel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Samson Tigers. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 71-61.

Zion Chapel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Samson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zion Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Opp at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Opp is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season. As for Samson, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pike Liberal Arts at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
