Baseball Game Preview: Granite Hills Grizzlies vs. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears

Granite Hills is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Summit Charter Collegiate Academy an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Granite Hills Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Granite Hills came up short against Corcoran and fell 5-1.

Meanwhile, Summit Charter Collegiate Academy suffered their closest loss since May 1, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Farmersville by a score of 10-8.

Valentin Sierra and Seth Ishmael stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sierra went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Ishmael went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Mason Maddox was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Granite Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Granite Hills skirted past Summit Charter Collegiate Academy 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
