Basketball Game Preview: Graham G-Men vs. Nelson County Governors

The Graham G-Men will take on the Nelson County Governors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Nelson County likes a good challenge.

Graham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 63-50 win over Virginia High.

Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, Nelson County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Floyd County 73-68. While the Governors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Buffaloes 18-13 in the first quarter.

Graham will need to focus on slowing down Bryce Giles, one of several Nelson County players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Giles is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 16 games he's played. Aiden Carter was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 16 points along with six assists and six boards.

Nelson County's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Graham, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
