Volleyball Recap: Marion County Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lana Polovin and Cali Stewart + How To Watch

Marion County was the 3-0 winner over Grundy County when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 25-10 in the first set.

Marion County actually scored more points across those five sets (110-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 17-15.

Marion County's loss came despite strong showings from Cali Stewart and Lana Polovin. Stewart had 27 digs and one assist, while Polovin had 16 digs and three aces. Polovin is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Marion County moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Grundy County, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
