Basketball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County suffered their closest loss since January 30th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Shaw Raiders by a score of 49-46. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Shaw, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

When Russell County and Shaw next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Russell County will try to stop Newnan's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. Meanwhile, Shaw will try to stop Spencer's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
