Football Recap: Sandalwood Comes Up Short

Sandalwood lost against Atlantic Coast back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints took a hard 21-7 fall against the Stingrays.

A big part of Atlantic Coast's win came down to the chemistry between Rocco Manago and his top target Ethan Redding. Manago threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes while Redding picked up 207 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 352 passing yards gave Manago a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Otearle Birden, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Atlantic Coast, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Sandalwood has already played their next matchup, a 35-0 loss against Fletcher on the 19th. As for Atlantic Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-6 win against Andrew Jackson on the 19th.
