St. Charles fell victim to Dover-Eyota and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Fighting Saints' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

St. Charles' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Dover-Eyota, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Coincidentally, St. Charles and Dover-Eyota will both be playing Plainview-Elgin-Millville the next time they take the field. The Fighting Saints will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
