Football Recap: South Holt Knights vs. DeKalb Tigers
South Holt put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the DeKalb Tigers at home to the tune of 84-34. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 63-20.
Cole Medsker was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 145 yards and four touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass. Another player making a difference was Griffin Kemerling, who picked up 92 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, South Holt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 287 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DeKalb only rushed for 152.

As for DeKalb, they are on the road again on Friday to play Rock Port at 7:00 p.m. Rock Port will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something DeKalb surely won't give up without a fight.
