Soccer Recap: Bullard Takes a Loss

If Bullard was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Brownsboro last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bullard Panthers lost 3-0 to the Athens Hornets on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in February.

Bullard has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Athens and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Coming up, Bullard will take on Cumberland Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens, they will be playing at home against Brownsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Athens is facing Brownsboro at the right time seeing as Brownsboro is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
