Basketball Recap: Zionsville Takes a Loss

Zionsville lost against Warren Central back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Zionsville Eagles fell just short of the Warren Central Warriors by a score of 50-47.

Despite the loss, Zionsville still got an impressive performance from Maguire Mitchell, who went 12 of 21 en route to 32 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Mitchell has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Tielker, who posted nine points and five assists.

Zionsville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Warren Central, their record is now 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zionsville will face off against Brownsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Zionsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. Warren Central has already played their next match (against North Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
