Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hankinson walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 52-8 victory over the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials. Considering the Pirates have won seven games by more than 29 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Hankinson's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.8 points. As for Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hankinson will take on New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Hankinson's offense will have their work cut out for them. Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
