Softball Preview: Houston Tigers vs. Mansfield Lions
The Houston Tigers will head out to challenge the Mansfield Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mansfield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Houston, who comes in off a win.
It was a proper cat-fight when Houston faced off against Steelville on Tuesday. Houston blew past Steelville 20-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Makinley Aaron was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Aaron was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Houston let Sophia Crites and Gracyn McNiell run wild. Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Houston, their record is now 2-0.
