Baseball Game Preview: Jesuit Crusaders vs. Grant Generals

The Jesuit Crusaders will challenge the Grant Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Jesuit's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Grant's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, Jesuit didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Oswego and fell 7-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Lakers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Grant suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 10-3 to South Salem. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Generals' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Jesuit, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything went Jesuit's way against Grant when the teams last played back in May of 2023, as Jesuit made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
