Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Wilmington

Wilmington had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 8-8 to make it four. They never let the Mercer Mustangs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chase Mitcheltree was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

As for Mercer, they moved to 9-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. The game marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Mercer's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aedan Ryhal, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilmington will venture away from home to take on Reynolds at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mercer, they will head out to challenge Clarion Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
