West Hills took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Monte Vista, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolf Pack came out on top in a nail-biter against the Monarchs on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

West Hills' victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Kulak, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

West Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.
