Central Connecticut III West recap October 1, 2013

Weaver took down Rockville 37-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Rocky Hill led Central Connecticut III West in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on East Catholic. Andrew Jenkelunas threw for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 22 yards in the win.

Norvel Stewart provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bloomfield defeated Northwest Catholic. He completed 11 passes for 147 yards and also ran for 61 yards. Stewart's favorite target this week was Clive Clunie, who caught 3 passes for 59 yards.

Jenkelunas and Chris Young gave the Terriers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Teammate Dave Sevigny added to the ground attack by rushing for 131 yards.

The Indians' Christian Flynn and Aidan McDonnell have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Flynn has thrown for 625 yards this season, while McDonnell, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 4 catches for 143 yards. Rocky Hill's Young leads the league in rushing yards with 536.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Rocky Hill takes on second place Bloomfield. David Coyne's team defeated the Eagles last week, while the Warhawks bested Northwest Catholic.

The Terriers' offense has recorded 129 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Bloomfield has permitted only 21 on the year.

Ty Outlaw's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,857 from 5,315. The advance stemmed from a 39-8 victory over Michael Tyler's team last week.
