Linfield Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Colony Titans as the Linfield Christian Lions made off with a 15-2 win. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Presley Sloniker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Sloniker was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Charli Calas was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Danica Perez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Linfield Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linfield Christian will head out to challenge Chaparral at 3:15 p.m. on February 27th. As for Colony, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Diamond Bar at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
