Soccer Recap: Denison Takes a Loss

Denison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the McKinney North Bulldogs, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 655th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).

Denison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for McKinney North, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Denison will welcome Melissa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Melissa's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for McKinney North, they will venture away from home to square off against Lovejoy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. McKinney North's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Lovejoy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
