Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Madison S. Hughes and Kennedy Hulbert Lead Center Hill to Victory

There's no place like home for Center Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over Lake Cormorant on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-56 back in January.

Leading Center Hill to victory were Kennedy Hulbert and Madison S. Hughes. Hulbert went 6 for 10 en route to 16 points and five boards, while S. Hughes dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. S. Hughes' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karol Key, who posted no points and 13 rebounds.

Center Hill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-16. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Lake Cormorant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Center Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lake Cormorant has already played their next game (against Horn Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
