Troup County posted their closest win since August 15, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Callaway Cavaliers 2-1. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Troup County was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (58-55), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Despite the defeat, Callaway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aidyn Alford-Bailey had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Alford-Bailey.

Troup County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Callaway, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Troup County and Callaway will both be playing Griffin the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cavaliers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
