Softball Recap: McDaniel Comes Up Short

If McDaniel was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Roosevelt on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountain Lions came up short against the Lincoln Cardinals on Friday, falling 16-1. Mountain Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cardinals since on Friday.

McDaniel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tiffany Jordan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

McDaniel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lincoln, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDaniel will square off against rival Ida B. Wells at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln is set to face off against their familiar foe Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
