Baseball Recap: North Comes Up Short

North fell victim to Hill-Murray and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. The Polars have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hill-Murray, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Thomas Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hill-Murray will take on rival Mahtomedi at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 3.3, the Zephyrs 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
