Basketball Recap: Mountain View-Gotebo Comes Up Short

Mountain View-Gotebo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 53-44 to the Fletcher Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Mountain View-Gotebo's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fletcher, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers challenge the Carnegie Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fletcher, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-42 win against Union City on the 14th.
