Basketball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Gordon-Rushville was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a blow against the Gering Bulldogs, falling 69-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Gordon-Rushville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Braylon Holston posted 11 points and eight boards.

Gordon-Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Gering, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Gordon-Rushville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-46 loss against Cody-Kilgore on the 18th. Gering has also already played their next game (against Chadron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
