Football Recap: Oakwood Takes a Loss

Oakwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 53-21 defeat at the hands of the Carlisle Indians. The Lumberjacks lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 21-13 score last time.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Carlisle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oakwood will head out to square off against Bellbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Lumberjacks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Carlisle, they will venture away from home to challenge Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
