Baseball Recap: Dowling Catholic Takes a Loss

Dowling Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Polk Rams. The Maroons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Dowling Catholic now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Southeast Polk, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Dowling Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Johnston on the 5th. As for Southeast Polk, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Ankeny Centennial on the 4th.
