Basketball Recap: Augusta Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Augusta had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds on Monday, falling 55-17. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Augusta will square off against Dayton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newport Central Catholic, they will face off against Notre Dame Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
