Softball Game Preview: Lapeer Lightning vs. Marlette Red Raiders

The Lapeer Lightning will head out to take on the Marlette Red Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lapeer has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Lapeer's offense. They lost 11-0 to Garber on Saturday. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marlette). They blew past Capac 16-3 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Raiders needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Marlette's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Lapeer, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-21.
